It's a good Tex-Mex place that has a quaint atmosphere in an old home in a historic area of town. Food is consistent and service is generally very good as well.
Unfortunately I am changing my review from 5 stars to 1. This place used to be great. Now it takes 20 minutes to be waited on and service is slow. This afternoon I called to place a to go order. I was put on hold for 5 1/2 minutes before anyone took my order. When I got there I had to wait 15 extra minutes for my food (the amount of time they told me it would take to cook.) During this 15 minute period I got to listen to 2 employees complain about the lack of help they had and complained about how a new hire didn't do much. When I got home I found that they did not give me sour cream, rice, or beans. I called back and the person I spoke to was the same person who placed my order. She was unapologetic and basically told me that it was my fault because I didn't specify that I wanted rice and beans and apparently in "to go orders people don't usually want rice and beans". She kept talking about how people don't like if their food touches? So I paid for rice and beans but did not receive them because I didn't specify that I wanted something that is supposed to automatically come with my meal. I doubt I will be returning soon. I will go to the one on grape road where service is better.
We waited 20 minutes before we saw a waitress to take our drink order. Good was not up to usual par. Pretty disappointed. After we got the manager involved, it still took 13 mins for a waitress to address us.
Great food, service and atmosphere. Reasonably priced. The chips and Salsa served before every meal is very tasty.
Great Americanized Mexican food. Their wet burrito is awesome. It's a local legend. Other menu items are very good as well. Love the free chips and salsa while waiting for your meal.
