Great beautiful spot
The depicted location is actually an Indiana Department of Natural Resources property named Zappia Landing.
This area is 750 yards downstream from the Twin Branch Dam on the St Joseph River. Rated very good for Steelhead year-round and noted for the King and Coho Fall Salmon runs. Food, lodging nearby, Laing Park has been renamed Frank Zappia Steelhead Fishing Park. While the park is equipped with portable facilities, fishing at the Twin Branch Dam site has permanent washroom facilities and a 120 yard sidewalk equipped with safety railing and pole holders making the area safe for entire family. Very limited area for fly fishing; some opportunity for float fishing; good opportunity for spinning outfits.
Nice park to take the family to nearby buisness and resturants but enouch seclusion to make you forget the ciry is just right there
Laing Park is on the south side of SR 933, west of McDonald's and east of Eller Ditch, not at the NE corner of SR 933 (Lincolnway) & SR 331(Capital Ave).
Across the street next to mcdonalds is the Laing Park Cemetery. If you walk into the woods up the wooden stairs. Next to the wooden stairs is a bulliten board that says who was buried their and when.
