All in all, I'd say this is my favourite Asian store.
Probably the best Asian market in the South Bend/Mishawaka region, in terms of product variety, prices and service (not much since it's a grocery store but the store owner is pleasant enough). Another good thing is they require only $5 minimum purchase for credit card, so if you just want that bag of Korean spicy noodles for $5.99, you're good to go!
And since it's a Korean-oriented store, expect to find most Korean related products here for a good price! They also carry more Japanese snacks and treats than most other stores in town. Also some Chinese condiments too. For Vietnamese and Thai products, they do carry some, but not much. I'd recommend Saigon market downtown for more variety (and better prices for these country-specific items).
Lots of Asian variety. We recommend the fresh beef bulgogi.
From Kalamazoo to South Bend, this market is the only Korean market we've come across that has fresh banchan other than the usual kimchi/radish. They've got a nice little selection of fresh produce like beam sprouts and greens, as well as dried veggies and frozen seafood. This is my #1 choice for Korean ingredients in the Michiana area.
My favorite east-side pan-Asian grocer. The emphasis here is on Korean groceries and ready food. They have their own mini ready case bibimbap veggies, salads, tofu, etc which change (lately they've offered bulgogi too). The frozen section has good variety, and the fresh veggie section is continually improving in variety. There is also a small section for cooking and eating wares. The grocery is clean, well organized, and the proprietors are friendly.
Nice but small business not a lot of choices.
