Exactly. Regency is very cheap compared to salons and other schools. Its very clean and respectful, and taught everything before they perform on clients.

If I could give this place less than 1 star I would. I am a student here and started in August 2014. I have had nothing but problems since I've started here. I pay close to 18,000 dollars to go here. The first problem is the facility. During my tour they ran me through the school and I was naive and thought every thing looked okay. I didn't talk to other students and I should have. We have washer and dryers that are very old and need replaced. The pipes in the back are held together by rags. There are several stations that are broken and even a shampoo bowl that has been broken since I began here 9 months ago. The sinks get clogged daily and nothing is done to fix them. There's a huge theft problem and the school has 0 working cameras. the water machine for clients is broken as well. There are not enough tools for everyone. There aren't enough trays for all the students. They will schedule as many manicures and pedicures as they can on a busy day even if there isn't enough stations for that. They will make the clients sit in the dryer chairs and the students will have to move for people to walk through because there isn't enough space there. Some of the teachers are very rude here and my client who was receiving a pedicure was mortified when my teacher yelled very loudly about her toenails being discolored. They have no cleaning crew here and the they make the students do all their cleaning. And the students don't clean very well .. This place is so unsanitary. They discriminate here in every way. Once my teacher told a small child that we don't do nappy hair here. The mother was furious and a student had to apologize for the teachers behavior. On a busy day they don't turn down clients and they will not give the student any breaks or a lunch. But they will make them clock a lunch while still working and receiving no hours and never actually taking a lunch. I missed out on half of my curriculum because they switched to studio Luma and made us all start from the beginning again even though we were doing classes we've already done. One of my teachers here wanted to go over resumes with us and she was told she was not aloud to because studio Luma was a no lecturing environment. The videos on studio luma are very bad and not correct. The test don't always have accurate information. I feel I have been robbed of my money here. I'm not a disgruntle student I love doing hair but I'm not going to sit here and let other people give this corporation another penny without knowing who they are giving it to. The company has already been sued for not paying overtime fees to employees and all they care about is money. I have to pay 53 dollars and a trip to Indy to take my state board test and the school has done nothing to prepare me for it . I've been trying to study in school and the teachers ask me to do their cleaning and give me a hard time for studying. The school is very Loud and they play vulgar music and the students run around and yell and dance. I had to clock out one day just so I could get some piece and quiet to study. I drive an hour to get here and have to be at this school over 40 hours a week. So I don't get a lot of outside time to study. I got a nice job at a high end salon and they offered to have me do and internship where I earn money and hours towards my license but I was told no by my school. Even though I have all my marks and everything I need. So instead of learning at my salon I have to sit here and stare at walls basically. I wouldn't go to this school as a student or client.

They did a wonderful job on my hair. I am definitely trying to see them again.

I don't understand how you could think its too expensive!? Other beauty schools are DIRTY and the students are taught the BARE MINIMUM. Students at Regency are not only taught several ways to do a task, but are also taught the hardest way first, so THEY can work their hardest. The school is great, the students are great, the prices are great, and the instructors are VERY caring and work hard to teach their students.

Place is too expensive. Go to mishiana beauty school, it's cheaper and service is way better
