Always had a great experience with Dr. Young as well as his nurse. His Medical Assistant Andrew however ruins the patient experience by the way he talks to and handles patients. He is very condescending when talking to patients and does not treat you with respect. Not sure if it's lack of experience dealing with patients or the fact that he merely has no empathy for patients but he is just horrible. Also not sure if it's the phone system or front office people but calling and scheduling appointments is almost always a nightmare as well. In my opinion trying to call and get through for over 30 minutes each time is unacceptable. I have made the decision to switch my children to another practice after almost 6-7 years of being with Dr. Young because of the constant hassle of dealing with this and I am just fed up.
Dr. YOUNG refused to see me. I have a rash for 2 weeks that wasn't properly treated. My regular doctor is not available and leaving the practice(wonder why?)..... I explain that to the receptionist. She said it's the doctors call. I said so the doctor doesn't care? Well your late. It will take him less than 5 minutes to look at this and determine what to do. Well We can schedule you for next week. Um... hello just told you today's the last day for insurance. I have a grace period until my other insurance kicks in. She says, Oh yea that's right. How much is cash pay? Well I don't know. What do you mean you don't know? She pulls out a book, well cash pay is $45-$210 but it could be more. Told her my fiancé, baby and I are going to another provider! They don't care about their patients! You are just another number.
My primary doctor and has been for the last 7 years, he's absolutely wonderful and he's a really great doctor! We have a great communication and he's willing to listen!
Dr. Young is very nice. He listens to my health issues and I have never been sent away wanting better treatment. The staff is always nice, the appointments are quick. I check in and 30 mins later I am walking out. I would give him 10 points if I could.

100% DO NOT recommend St. Joseph medical! Showed up at 430. Thought my appointment was at 430 but was 420 appointment. It's my last day of insurance. My regular doctor is not here.
