Initial sales clerk was courteous and helpful/informative, but slow. It took forever to get us a price on 2 identical chairs. Even then, the written quote was not clear. After we left, she called me to state she had over-priced the quote and gave me a different price.
We were taken care of promptly and professionally by the sales associate. She presented options and explained procedures. Good experience so far.
During my recent visit to the La-Z-Boy store in Mishawaka, sales representative, Julia, pleasantly welcomed me and asked if she could.show or direct me to what I was interested in purchasing. Upon asking about the construction of their recliners, Julia didn't hesitate to tip the chair up, to show, and explain how the recliner was made. Then I became overwhelmed looking at all of the upholstery swaps Thankfully Julia guided me with her knowledge and experience as a designer. I purchased one recliner at that time and returned the following day to purchase another recliner. I am looking forward to relaxing in my La-Z-Boy when it arrives.
I feel that service is extremely important. However I bought the chairs because I liked the chairs and because of the Lazy Boy name. If it were based on your sales associates alone, you would have lost a sale.
The next day we came in to order the furniture and we were helped by a second sales associate. She kept pointing out the flaws of the initial sales clerk and what she did wrong. It made us question whether the order was going to be correct. It turns out she said she was one of the managers, which makes it even more unprofessional that she was throwing her associate under the bus to the customer.
The salesman showed us the workmanship of the chair. My husband being a woodworker was impressed with the stability of the chair and the quality of the product. Our salesman was also very intuitive. He gave us all the information that we needed to decide between two chairs. He also gave us information about the Fabrics and our choices and then allowed us to discuss it privately.
